Hambo Hoedown - Bring the String to the Slammer

This week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is to use a Hambo image along with twine, jute, cord, string or fibers on your project! No ribbon! You can use the cute Pig Inmate Digi they have available in their store, but if you don't have that you can use ANY Hambo image you like: Rubber or Digi. They even have a few FREE digi images that you can use. You can find them here. If you enter into the challenge on time, they will even send you a digital image for FREE to use on next week's challenge. How is that for a deal!!!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Dad and Grandpa. I love you both very much. We spent Friday night together playing playing cards and spending time together and today having a wonderful lunch together after church. Kevin, Heather and I all went in and got Dad a photo matted and framed that he wanted for his office and I went with edible cards this year. Sure hope they taste good. It's a Party Challenge

Dustin Pike is having a challenge...It's a Party! Make a birthday card using any one of his images...he even has some free ones you can use. You get credit towards purchasing his stamps just for entering, and if you are lucky enough, you just might win!

My entry this week is in JUST under the wire...it has been one busy busy week. It also was my very first attempt at a waterfall card. I am pleased that it actually works! I need little boy cards as I will have another nephew again in August, so I am starting to build that selection now.

Hambo Hoedown Challenge # 9

I found a new challenge this week, at the Hambo Hoedown. The challenge is to use HOT PINK and BRIGHT GREEN. You are also supposed to use the adorable caterpillar that they emailed you last week if you completed the rules and challenge correctly. If you are like me and didn't know about the challenge then you can use ANY adorable HAMBO stamp, and they even have a free one you can download to try.

This was my first challenge for the HAMBO Hoedown and I am looking forward to completing more. Be sure to check them out at HAMBO STAMPS ... They have a great selection of both rubber and digital stamp.

Not having too much pink or bright green in my stash, I gathered what I had and this is what I came up with.

Altered Egg Carton

It is that time of the week again....time for another one of Dustin Pike's Fabulous' Challenges. This time it is Anything But a Card with an Easter Theme. Be sure to check out all the details here! I have had an incredible busy week, ending with getting home late last night after taking my school's team to the Destination Imagination State Tournament. Too bad we didn't make it to Global's. But making it to State our first year, was quite an accomplishment and we had a ton of fun along the way! Great job team!

I am pleased with how this project turned out, finishing it just under the wire. The pictures were difficult to get, but I think they finally turned out fine. This is a centerpiece for our table. With no children in our house, we don't color eggs, and try (notice the word try) not to buy candy! So instead of a basket with empty plastic eggs (that of course eventually get filled!), I have an inedible centerpiece! Happy Easter all!!

Pike's Playground Challenge Time - Spring Showers

It is time to play at Pike's Playground again. Get out your shovel and pail, okay maybe scissors and glue is more appropriate for this challenge. I am still thinking Spring, how about you? Make something fun using "Spring Showers" as your theme. This could be wedding showers, baby showers, spring, rain showers with my images...use your imagination. Dustin is VERY GENEROUS with his challenges and you receive points just for entering...even more if you win...and points can be used to purchase his AWESOME digi stamps!

It has been raining here on and off for days, and trees are starting to bud and the flowers are beginning to peek up. So...flowers are on their way...and today is officially the first day of Spring!

Cleaning out the card drawer

As I am beginning to start Christmas cards I sorted through the card drawer to see if there were any left over Christmas cards from last year.... No such luck. But I did find some of my favorites!

So now...time to search through the stamp sets and see what I can come up with.
